Lazy minds tend towards assumptions though.

So Te Ururoa has a worthy bill on the order paper. One good bill. You seem to construe this is as some sort pardon for previous sins. I’ll tell you this, Te Ururoa needs to do a lot more if he is make up for the despicable way he behaved re the MCA act.

Come back if you want to discuss this issue, substantively of course, rather than resorting to childish insults. Do not substitute composed, rational, fact based discussion for pity invective.Morgan Godferyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16151402259122819244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8687643215117543088.post-68772121880124327442011-03-30T17:26:35.578+13:002011-03-30T17:26:35.578+13:00Your blog is a joke.

Better inform yourself buddy.

http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/PA1009/S00150/maori-party-seeks-major-crackdown-on-gambling.htm

http://issues.co.nz/peoplebeforepokies/Our+CampaignAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8687643215117543088.post-84425493248662475522011-03-29T23:08:52.836+13:002011-03-29T23:08:52.836+13:00You have to wonder about the moral compass of peop...You have to wonder about the moral compass of people like McCown. I have watched a guy blow a weeks wages in a pokie machine, I only realised because of the domestic row that occurred a couple of hours later in the bar when his wife arrived, she was understandably very upset.IHStewarthttp://hamishinauckland.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8687643215117543088.post-67372440741708891892011-03-29T21:23:29.927+13:002011-03-29T21:23:29.927+13:00Kia ora anon,

The only objection has come from the Kawerau Ministers Association. Not even the Police or the local Hauora objected. What the hell is going on? This is an issue that will touch the lives of hundreds if not thousands of people in Kawerau, yet there is no indication that anyone is aware of what is going on. Actually, there is no indication that anyone cares.

McCowns application will know go before the liquor licensing authority. If the Ministers Association is the only group to formally object and submit then I think a license to open at 7.30 will be granted. I will submit and appear before the authority if necessary, but the opposition of a uni student in Wellington and a few church ministers is probably not enough.

For anyone out there interested in submitting I will post a pro-forma submission document here – given sufficient interest of course.Morgan Godferyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16151402259122819244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8687643215117543088.post-22182131361731541332011-03-29T20:15:40.028+13:002011-03-29T20:15:40.028+13:00Ditto all your comments Morgan.

It just defies any sense of morality or decency.

Is he the Larry Flint reincarnate?

And sadly, as we are Kawerau and not a leafy high socio economic suburb, this will go unnoticed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
